Mount Tianmu - A Biodiversity Treasure House

Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve, hailed as a "biodiversity treasure chest" is a famous tourist attraction located in Lin'an County in Northwestern Zhejiang Province. Mount Tianmu is renowned for plenty of giant trees, waterfalls, peaks surrounded by clouds, bamboo shoots, temples, and nunneries, and odd shaped rocks. Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve covers a total area of 4,284 hectares. It is features a long history of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.


Wuyi Mountains - Wuyi Shan

Wuyi Mountains is located south of Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, with an area of 70 square kilometers. The area has what is probably the largest, most typical and best-preserved humid subtropical native forest in the world.

White Horse Temple (Bai Ma Shi)

White Horse Temple (白马寺) is, according to tradition, the first Buddhist temple in China, established in 68 AD under the patronage of Emperor Ming in the Eastern Han capital Luoyang Today the site is located just outside the walls of the ancient Eastern Han capital, some 12–13 kilometres (7.5–8.1 mi) east of Luoyang in Henan Province. The temple, although small in size in comparison to many other temples in China, is considered by most believers as "the cradle of Chinese Buddhism". The geographical landmarks to the south of the temple are Manghan mountain and Lucoche River.

Yiwulü Mountain

Yiwulü Mountain (Chinese: 医巫闾山) is one of the Three Greatest Mountains of Northeast China. It is located in the western part of Beizhen City, in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. Its highest peak is 867 meters above sea level. It is located about 5 kilometers west of the center of Beizhen City, in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province.


Mount Wangwu - Wangwu Mountain

Mount Wangwu is about 35 km west of Jiyuan city, Henan Province, and on the Henan-Shanxi border about 50 km north of Luoyang (a capital in ancient China). It gained special prominence within Shanqing Taoism, which made it the domain of Lord Wang of the Western Citadel (XiCheng Wangjun). Numerous Shangqing scriptures and methods are said to have been revealed or secreted on Mount Wangwu. There are mountain peaks and ridges in verdure attire, spring water and waterfall running all year long, as well as old trees, monster stones, temples dotted here and there featuring humanistic characters.

Mount Laoshan - Laoshan Mountains

Laoshan is a famous mountain in Qingdao, Shandong province, China. It lies about 30km east of the downtown Qingdao, and is an important tourist destination. It is the highest coastal mountain in China, peaking at 1132.7m. It is known as one of the birthplaces and activity center of Chinese Taoism. Overlooking the sea, the mountain is characterized by the imposing canyon and undulating peaks and mystery mist. 


Grand Buddha at Ling Shan

With more than 88 meter high and weighing over 700 tons, the Grand Buddha at Ling Shan is a bronze Sakyamuni standing Buddha outdoors and built in the end of 1996. In 2008, a "Five-signets" Palace and a Brahma Palace were built south-east of the grand buddha statue.

The Grand Buddha lies in the Small Ling Shan named by the famous Great Monk Xuanzang in Tang Dynasty, this is how the Grand Buddha in Ling Shan got its name. The Grand Buddha are made in tin, bronze, created, and completed according to the record of the Buddhist scriptures Tathagata 32 images.

Chicken Foot Mountain (Jizu Shan)

Chicken Foot Mountain is also called 'Jizu Shan' in Chinese. Further away from Dali (Yunnan Province) to the North East side of Erhai Lake behind Wase is Jizu Shan, called this because the mountain and its ranges look like a chicken's foot.

Chicken Foot Mountain is categorized into the dry heat river valley climate, the warm moist mountain climate and the warm cool moist Subalpine climate.
